A few times a year Sjaak’s Organic Chocolates throws open their warehouse doors to the general public. Beginning Tuesday, February 6th, they offer their first Warehouse sale of 2018! What a perfect time to get your Valentine something special and to stock up on these delectable chocolates!

Jacques, the owner and creator, was born in the Netherlands and grew up next to a windmill similar to the one in their logo. Sadly, the   mill was destroyed in World War II but meant so much to Jacques that it has become the symbol of his vegan, organic chocolate company. The logo’s windmill and tulip are a beautiful reminder of Jacques history. Sjaak’s Organic Chocolates is a family owned and operated business who’s mission is to create high quality gourmet chocolates while supporting fair trade practices. In addition to their concern for those who grow the cocoa beans, Sjaak’s supports a positive work environment for their staff and encourages sustainable farming practices through the use of organic, non-GMO ingredients. Their goal is to build a socially responsible company that is profitable and can be carried on for generations to come! All of Sjaak’s Organic Chocolates are vegan including their chocolate bars, gift boxes and seasonal holiday treats. They have even created a delicious “Melk” chocolate for those of you who aren’t dark chocolate fans. Their Eli bars are a delicious example of their dairy-free “Melk” chocolate. I actually have dreams about their nutty, caramel-ly Dream Big bar. As a child, my Mom knew that the Easter bunny that she put in my basket had to be made with white chocolate. My brother & sister thought I was crazy but from my first bite of white chocolate…I was hooked!  I love every white chocolate treat they offer but if I had to choose a favorite it is the nog. It is my #1 favorite white chocolate treat of all time and in the top 3 of all time best desserts ever along with vegan fudge & seafoam candy! They have even gone a step further and had all products certified Kosher by Earth Kosher.

This is the perfect opportunity to support a vegan, locally owned & family run business. Oh, and completely feed your sugar addiction! My friends and I have already planned our roadtrip to Petaluma & I’ve been on Sjaak’s website all afternoon deciding what I’m going to buy next week! The warehouse will be open Tuesday, February 6th to Thursday, February 8th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday, February 9th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is located in an industrial park at 1340 Commerce Street, Suite D in Petaluma. The front door to their suite is located on Transport Way & their sign is really small! Bring your sweet tooth and a big reusable bag for all of your Valentine’s purchases. And as always…eat (lots of Sjaak’s), drink & be vegan!
