About

Embracing my love for animals, I became a vegetarian eight years ago. Over the next three years I learned more about animal rights and the horrors of the egg and dairy industry and made the life changing decision to become vegan. It has been an amazing adventure! I spent the last 40 years exploring the U.S. from northern Michigan to southern Florida, from eastern Virginia to central Colorado and coastal North Carolina until finally I found perfection – Napa, California! It didn’t take long to photo - Copy (3)realize that we vegans were lacking a voice in Napa Valley. So I founded my blog, Napa Valley Vegan, and became that voice. As Blogger-in-Chief, I eat, drink and shop my way through Napa Valley & beyond and blog about my adventures. My goals are to share my knowledge of the wonderful vegan options available in Napa and Sonoma Valley and to raise awareness for others that we can all make compassionate choices without giving up good food and great wine! When I’m not sipping wine and eating amazing meals to blog about, you will find me searching for the perfect vegan cupcake, hiking Alston Park, rehabilitating injured songbirds and enjoying life with my husband Steve and our awesome vegan dogs Buttercup and Violet. I hope you enjoy my adventures and as always…eat, drink and be vegan!

      Hi Michael,

I haven’t been there yet but a vegan friend raves about the brunch at Archetype in St. Helena. It isn’t too obvious from the menu so be sure to call in advance to set up your reservation and let them know you are looking for a mind blowing vegan brunch for your anniversary! I can’t wait to hear all about it!! Tonia
