2017 Veg-friendly Napa Events!

BottleRock Napa Valley Memorial Day Weekend on Friday, May 26th – Sunday, May 28th

The line-up includes Maroon 5, the Foo Fighters, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Modest Mouse, the Roots and many, many more…Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will also be playing and let’s give him all of our love! Rumor has it he is transitioning to veganism for the animals!!

Last year included an all vegan food truck but I could not find any info on them attending this year. However, there are several vendors who should be offering vegan-friendly faire. Dabba, Curry Up Now, The Middle Feast, bling bling dumplingBen & Jerry’s, Ohm Coffee Roasters, Revive Kombucha (raw & vegan), Jamba Juice, The Pop Nation (all vegan & gluten free), Sumo Dog (vegan dogs by Field Roast) and Sweetie Pies Bakery (they offer a limited vegan menu in their bakery).

I am amazed by the large amount of vegan-friendly beer & cider available! Coors Light, all Hop Valley, all Heretic Brewing Co., all Lagunitas, Heineken, Blue Moon (except for the 2 that contain honey), Saint Archer (all but the Coffee Cream Porter), many Crispin Hard Cider (except the Lansdowne, Bonnie & Clyde, Bird on a Wire, The Four Musketeers, The Union & Honey Crisp), Stone Brewing Co. (except Milk Stout, Suede Imperial Porter, Citracado IPA, Coffee Milk Stout & Mocha IPA), all Green Flash, most Ninkasi (except Noir), all Ballast Point, all Fort Point, all New Belgium, all Knee Deep, all Golden State Cider, most Karl Strauss (except specialties brewed in casks), Angel City (except Srirachelada, Lager, Pomegranate Saison, Saison & Salted Caramel).

Getting answers from wine makers takes a bit longer and sometimes they don’t answer at all but here is what I have found so far…Vegan-friendly wines include JaM Cellars, Rombauer Vineyards, Cakebread and The Prisoner.

WineaPAWlooza on Saturday, July 29th at Gamble Family Vineyard

Jameson Animal Rescue LogoJameson Animal Rescue Ranch is a Napa Valley no-kill rescue and sanctuary for companion and farmed animals in need. JARR is the first animal protection non-profit in Napa Valley to require a no-meat policy at their cage-free, no-kill Ella’s CatHouse & Catnip Bar adoption center and to provide only vegan food to volunteers & the public at their outreach events. JARR will be hosting their fourth annual fundraiser WineaPAWlooza 2017!  to not only fund all the work they do for our Napa Valley animals but to also fund the purchase & construction of their Sanctuary Ranch. Last year WineaPAWlooza raised over $1.7 million dollars for the animals!
