Local Vegan Goods & Services!

Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Services

Dave’s Dry Extraction & Upholstery Cleaning Services uses Crystal Dry and host – both Green Seal Certified products. Both are non-toxic so safe for us and our pets, are odor-free, use minimal water and really does make all carpet – old and new – look amazing. I have been working with Dave now for several years and am impressed every time he cleans my carpets! Follow this link to enjoy his Internet Special and set your appointment!

Farmers Markets

The Napa Farmers Market is hosted every Tuesday & Saturday beginning on April 15th through November 21st at 195 Gasser Drive in Napa. It is now California Certified and committed to supporting local farmers & vendors. I have happily seen so many new vegan options added over the 5 & 1/2 years I’ve lived here.

Mayacamas Chocolate – Elena & Linda’s handcrafted vegan chocolates include their new lait-non-lait “milk” chocolate, the traditional dark chocolate made with 72% Organic Hispaniola Medium Roast, 72% Organic Sanchez Light Roast made with unfermented cacao, the Mole bar with golden raisins & pepitas, Strawberry Fields bar made with 60% dark chocolate & dried strawberries, Raisins In The Valley with 60% dark chocolate & Cabernet Grape Raisins and Sipping Chocolate made specifically to blend with non-dairy milk (Elena suggests using a coconut-almond blend!).

Monday Bakery’s owner & pastry chef Sally continues to add vegan options. The zucchini bread & raspberry brownie are both awesome!

Sweet Linda Lou’s  – Linda specializes in vegan mini pies that are bite-sized and yummy!

Sweet Peabody’s Homemade Sorbet – his handmade artisan sorbets are made in small batches in Napa using organic ingredients when possible. They are all dairy-free & gluten-free, do not contain corn syrup or artificial sweeteners, no colorants or synthetic stabilizers. He even purchases the fruit fresh from the farmers market. Delish!

Sweetie Pies – offer a vegan berry muffin, shortbread cookie & cupcake. My husband loves muffins & this is one of his favorites. I on the other hand love frosting and this cupcake is one of my favorites!

Way To Life Foods offers some of the best granola out there – they offer so many flavors that I can’t pin down my favorite. The cinnamon rolls are right up there with as good as Cinnaholic and the chocolate chip cookies are hands down the BEST chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever eaten! I haven’t tried the vegan burgers yet but I have to assume they will be as amazing as everything else is!

Savory options & beverages will be added soon…

Hair Salons

Hair Sanctuary is a tiny 2 chair salon near downtown Napa. Tina Hoffman offers the Organic Color System and the last time I spoke to her she had added a second vegan coloring system based out of Italy. Her salon partner is very sensitive to aromas so it is a fragrance free salon which is glorious! Tina uses the John Masters Organics styling products – most of which are vegan (the company is endorsed by PETA as cruelty-free & the non-vegan ingredients include honey, silk and beeswax.) She will even rinse your head with apple cider vinegar which feels invigorating! She only accepts new clients on a referral basis so mention that you learned of her salon through my blog. Tina can be reached at (707) 225-1754 by text.

Ann Hopp with La Rouge Studio is one of only 3 stylists in Napa that offer the vegan-friendly, ammonia & paraben-free Organic Color System hair coloring products. Ann has been doing my hair for several months and does a wonderful job. The salon is not vegan and they do use Redken shampoo & conditioner which is NOT cruelty-free. I bring my own shampoo/conditioner/styling gel with me. She can be reached at 707.495.2022 to schedule your appointment. Be sure to mention that you heard about her on my blog!

Nail Salon

Wood & Rowan opened in 2016 at 750 Main Street in downtown Napa. It is the first salon in Napa to offer organic scrubs (all but the Milk & Honey are vegan) crafted locally by Sumbody. Low-toxin (5-free or higher), vegan nail polishes that include tenoverten, Julep and Lakur by Londontown.  Never choose the Chanel polish since they test on animals and are not vegan. Wood & Rowan also uses Kevin Murphy hair products for the blow out bar. All products are cruelty-free and use this list to confirm that the products used are also vegan. The space is light and bright and is free of the toxic smells that waft through the air from a typical nail salon. This is one of my favorite Napa shops and my favorite nail salon…ever. Amber does an incredible job on my nails. When you set your appointment, mention that you are interested in the vegan experience!
